what a difference a couple of days make!

It's snowing now, on Wednesday morning, and of course the lake looks so much different than it did on Monday afternoon. It was still pitch dark out as I drove to work this morning so I couldn't get any photographs yet. However I am hoping I have batteries for my camera and maybe I can stop on my way home this afternoon to get a couple of fresh shots.

more pictures from Jan 14th

I couldn't get all of my photos into one blog post for some reason. Here are a few more. Hopefully I won't double up on them between the two posts.

warm January afternoon - photos from January 14th

On Sunday morning people were out on the lake fishing. In the afternoon I saw them heading to shore as I drove home with my groceries. Yesterday (Monday) afternoon my daughter and I decided to stop and see what the warm temperatures had done to the ice. Sure enough, it has melted a bit. I had my camera with me so I took the opportunity to get some photos for you. My daughter helped too. The ones of the sky are mostly hers. Enjoy!

January at the Lake

Ice fishing season is just barely getting started at the lake. There is a black dot on the first picture that is of someone ice fishing. Later in January if weather cooperates more bob houses will appear. I took these pictures a couple of days ago before the weather warmed up and threatened to melt everything again.
