Took my daughter to Unity Park in Turners Falls last week which is along the Connecticut River. I'm not sure how visible they are but there were some swans that caught my eye as well as some other birds. I did my best with pictures but it wasn't easy. I had one eye on the playground and one eye on the river as I did this.
First the swans...
Then a pair of ducks...
The view with Barton's Cove in the distance...
Geese on a piece of wood...
There is something out there on one of the orange buoys but I couldn't tell what it was. I tried different angles and I gave my wimpy zoom all the zoom I could but I still have no idea what I was looking at.
Photos of Lake Wyola, Shutesbury, MA. Also with occasional posts about the wildlife I see on my commutes through Shutesbury, Leverett, Amherst, and Montague.

Beautiful morning for taking pictures
It was a beautiful morning, in the 50s, and foggy. I didn't get photos of the raccoons that were on my deck and in my front yard but seeing them inspired me to grab my camera and be ready for the next thing. Life did not disappoint.
I shyed away from taking a picture of the person wading in the lake at sunrise. It was pretty but I knew he/she would notice me stopping my car so I drove on, and around the corner and got these:
Further on my commute I got a photo of my favorite farmstand
On campus we have the Lederle Grad Tower in the fog
And then the fog at the intersection near Parking Services
And then finally my walk into work through the fog and ending with a surprise visitor near the door...
There's supposed to be a library tower behind that building.
Where are the towers??
Okay, we can see Thompson tower now but not the library tower...
Getting closer.. can you see the outline of the library?
Coming out of Machmer, proof that the library is in fact still there!
South College construction site is a bit foggy
Oh great! Now the Old Chapel is missing!!
Phew! It's still there.
Pretty..
Oh but wait! Who is this??
EEK! It's a skunk!! Definitely a clue to get inside and get to work!
It's trapped! Pest Control/Wildlife officials were notified and were later able to capture and relocate it I believe. Not sure how it got itself in there in the first place.
